Abstract
▶ Thick, adherent, crack-free YSZ films can be fabricated by a mixed sol-gel/suspension process. ▶ The in situ growth of YSZ colloids increases significantly the layer density after an appropriated heat treatment. ▶ A mixed sol-gel/suspension strategy is versatile and is suitable to produce gas-tight electrolytes.
