Abstract
ⶠIt is proposed a MPP tracking control that tracks to within 1% the Maximum Power Point (MPP) of PEM Fuel Cell (PEMFC) stack. ⶠThe MPP tracking solution is used in proposed FC Hybrid Power Source (HPS) topology for purposes of both integrity and efficiency of it. ⶠThe use of a HPS (of FC, ultracapacitors and batteries) permits reduction of the hydrogen consumption and a reliable FC HPS operating under sharp power pulses. ⶠAlso, the proposed FC HPS structure has a nonlinear control loop for ripple mitigation of inverter current. ⶠThe obtained ripple factor is up to 1%.
