Abstract
▶ SDC/Na2CO3 nanocomposite possesses simultaneous H+ and O2− conduction property. ▶ H+ conductivity is 1-2 orders of magnitude higher than the O2− conductivity. ▶ The interface in composite electrolyte supplies high conductive path for proton. ▶ Oxygen ions are transported through the SDC grain interiors. ▶ “Swing Model” is proposed as a possible mechanism of superior proton conduction.
