Abstract
► We propose a new combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) system driven by solid oxide fuel cell to perform the trigeneration by using ammonia-water mixture to recover the waste heat from SOFC-GT. ► The ammonia-water mixture bottoming cycle which can produce electricity, cooling and heat simultaneously, is originated from typical Kalina cycle. ► By thermodynamic simulation, this proposed system can achieve high energy efficiency, exceeding 80% easily. ► A parametric analysis is conducted to examine the effects of the key thermodynamic parameters on the system performance. ► The CCHP system uses methane as fuel, and can extend to use other fuel, such as hydrogen.
