Abstract
⺠We described the mechanism of electroless cobalt deposition on a polymer film for catalytic release of H2. ⺠We used alkaline aqueous solutions of sodium borohydride for hydrogen generation. ⺠The polymer substrate improve the activity of the Co catalyst. ⺠Hydrogen evolution rates are comparable to precious metal catalysts (e.g., Pt and Ru).
