Abstract

- A novel model is first put forward to improve aqueous lithium-ion battery performance.
- Highly ordered lamellar V2O3 hybrid nanorods are first synthesized on a gram-scale.
- The nanorods consist of ultrathin V2O3 layers and organic phenylacetate layers.
- These nanorods show far superior capacity, cyclability and rate capability.
- The high performances attribute to their highly ordered lamellar hybrid structures.
