Abstract
- We investigate the effect and mechanism of iron doped lead oxide on batteries.
- Iron doped lead oxide can sharply decrease the battery capacity and cycle life.
- It can also promote the release of hydrogen and oxygen.
- We conclude that “redox-diffusion” process of iron results in bad performances.
- We conclude that formation of PbSO4 on electrodes also results in bad performances.
