Abstract
⺠A simple post treatment, high-energy ball-milling, is applied to modify the LiMnPO4 materials. ⺠The ball-milling process brings LiMnPO4 decreased crystallinity and particle size, expanded unit cell volume, and lattice defects, which help to relax the lattice stress and strain associated with Jahn-Teller distortion. ⺠Compared with the pristine one, the ball-milled LiMnPO4 materials show remarkable improvements in the electrochemical activity.
