Abstract
⺠PV cells (c-Si and HIT) and storage systems have been evaluated in an island context. ⺠Solutions that minimize the cost and the occupied area have been searched. ⺠For the short term, there is a strong advantage to use HIT cells rather than c-Si. ⺠For the mid term, the discrimination between c-Si and HIT cells is less obvious. ⺠Coupled with Pb-A batteries, the hydrogen is used as a seasonal storage.
