Abstract
Crystal structures of the novel polynuclear Nd(III) complexes, Na4[{Nd(H2O)}2(μ2-dptaO)2] (1) and K8[Nd2{Nd(H2O)2}2(μ2-dptaO)2(μ3-dptaO)2] (2) (H4dptaOH = 2-hydroxypropane-1,3-diamine-N,N,Nâ²,Nâ²-tetraacetic acid), which were selectively formed depending on the difference of counter cations, were determined. These complexes showed weak antiferromagnetic behavior.
