Abstract
A new compound featuring bicapped Keggin dimerized polyanion, (H2bpy)4[Si2Mo16VIMo8VO80(VIVO)4]·2H2O (1) (bpy = 4,4â²-bipyridine), has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions by directly using H4SiMo12O40 as starting materials. It represents the first example of bicapped Keggin dimerized polyanions, constructing from the pre-designed building unit {SiMo12O40}. The electrochemical property of the compound was studied.
