Abstract
Solvothermal treatment of BaCl2 and 2-(4-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)pyridinium-1-yl) acetate at 80 °C for 96 h produced the first deca-coordinated Ba(II)-tetrazole complex [Ba(4-TPA)2(H2O)4·3.5(H2O)]n (1) in which [BaO2]n chain acts as inorganic skeleton. The compound 1 shows interesting dielectric constant properties at a relatively high frequency of 1 M Hz.
