Abstract
In situ complexation of copper(II)sulphate and pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde oxime formed catalytically active complex for the oxidation of veratryl alcohol in alkaline aqueous solution. The structure of the active species in the reaction solution and the solid state structure of Cu(PAO)2SO4 were determined.
