Abstract
Novel N-functionalized tetraazamacrocyclic ligand and its nickel(II) complex were prepared and characterized. The X-ray structural analysis showed that the geometry around nickel is distorted trigonal bipyramid. Electrochemical studies indicate that the nickel(II) complex shows one electron irreversible reduction and oxidation processes. The complex exhibit magnetic moment value of 3.35 B.M indicates that nickel(II) ion is present in high spin state.
