Abstract
A 4d-4f polymer {[GdAg2(dtpa)(H2O)] · 3H2O}n (1) (dtpa = diethylenetriamine pentaacetate) was synthesized and characterized. Its 1D ladderlike chains built upon tetranuclear rings are further connected by Ag-O and Ag-Ag interactions to form a lamellar 2D packing.
