Abstract
A novel 1-D supramolecular array is reported containing neural Mn(II) building blocks. Upon selective deprotonation of the cationic analog, [Mn(H22)2]+2, the redox potential of [Mn(H2)2] shifts significantly more negative. However, both complexes self-organize into very similar 1-D zigzag ribbons in the solid state.
