Abstract
A series of benzoxazole/benzothiazole-containing 2,3-dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]dioxine derivatives was synthesized and the target compounds evaluated for antidepressant activity. The compounds described were evaluated for the 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A receptors activities. Based on their in vitro and in vivo activity, the compounds demonstrated potential pharmacotherapy for the treatment of depressive disorders.
