Abstract
Five dammarane-type compounds were isolated from Gynostemma pentaphyllum. Based on the structure-activity relationships of them, 20S-dammar-24-en-2α,3β,12β,20-tetrol (2α-OH-PPD) showed the strongest activity against A549 cells.
