Abstract
The position of the dioxo group on the E-ring of 4â²-demethylepipodophyllotoxin was regioselectively controlled by the chlorine atom at its C-2â² position. Some compounds displayed equal or higher insecticidal activity than toosendanin against Mythimna separata Walker at 1Â mg/mL.
