Abstract
C8-Modified sialic acids were synthesized efficiently by a sialic acid adolase-catalyzed reaction. The corresponding α2-3- and α2-6-linked sialosides containing C8-modified sialic acids were also successfully obtained using a one-pot three-enzyme system.
