Abstract
The Letter reports synthesis, release and pharmacological profile of the promising co-drug (DTH) of diacerein with antioxidant thymol based on the reports of involvement of oxidative stress in the pathophysiology of osteoarthritis. It is characterized by superior anti-inflammatory/anti-arthritic effects, better absorption, longer duration of action with lower ulcerogenic potential than diacerein.
