Abstract
► The biological function of TrkB-Shc in response to BDNF treatment is assessed. ► We found TrkB-Shc protein levels were decreased when cells were exposed to BDNF. ► TrkB-Shc dampens TrkB-TK+ activity and moreso following BDNF exposure. ► TrkB-Shc protein is more stable following BDNF exposure. ► TrkB-Shc may regulate BDNF-stimulated TrkB-TK+ activity by increasing its degradation.
