Abstract
⺠sPLA2s are involved in diverse biological events. ⺠The actions of sPLA2s are lipid mediator-dependent or -independent. ⺠sPLA2s act redundantly or non-redundantly in the context of pathophysiology. ⺠sPLA2s may represent potential drug targets or novel bioactive molecules. ⺠This review highlights the newest understanding of sPLA2s in the past few years.
