Abstract
⺠Pyrethroid resistance in Tuta absoluta is associated with multiple mutations (L1014F, M918T and T929I) in the sodium channel. ⺠This is the first description of these three mutations together in any insect population. ⺠The L1014F mutation was fixed in T. absoluta populations from 12 countries. ⺠L1014F is always found with either the M918T or T929I mutations in these populations. ⺠The combination of these mutations seen in field strains is likely to compromise control with pyrethroids.
