Abstract
⺠Sulfoximines represent a new chemotype for the control of sap-feeding insects. ⺠Sulfoxaflor is the first sulfoximine insecticide under development. ⺠Sulfoxaflor is a very high efficacy agonist of Dα2/β2 nicotinic receptors. ⺠Sulfoxaflor is a weak inhibitor of [3H]imidacloprid binding. ⺠Sulfoxaflor may interact with nicotinic receptors differently than neonicotinoids.
