Abstract
⺠The 35S::LLA23 plants show higher survival rate than WT at cold/freezing conditions. ⺠The 35S::LLA23 plants exhibit less ion leakage than WT at cold/freezing conditions. ⺠The ASR upregulates 12 and downregulates 25 cold-responsive genes. ⺠ASR-regulated proteins involve in defense/stress, transcription, and metabolism. ⺠ASR exhibits enzyme protection against freeze-thaw cycles both in vitro and in vivo.
