Abstract
⺠Multiple cysteine modifications in plant cytosolic aldolase. ⺠S-glutathionylation and S-nitrosylation leads to reversible inactivation. ⺠Cysteine modifications and inactivation are reversed by reduced thioredoxin. ⺠Aldolase and thioredoxin are nuclear-localized in isolated mesophyll protoplasts.
