Abstract
ⶠCBFs and their regulon are major determinants of low-temperature tolerance. ⶠIn grass genomes CBFs are structured in clusters of tandemly duplicated genes. ⶠDifferential expansion of the CBF clusters exists among and within Poaceae species. ⶠCNVs may contribute to phenotypic diversity in temperate Poaceae. ⶠDifferent mechanisms could play an important role in chilling resistance in tropical Poaceae.
