Abstract
⺠After switching diet NLFAs of Collembola reflect the new diet already after 1 day. ⺠Marker FAs of the previous diet are present in NLFAs of consumers for at least 14 days. ⺠NLFA analysis provides a reliable time integrated measure of the diet of consumers.
