Abstract
⺠The total C and N mineralisation increases after land abandonment. ⺠Unless an increase in mineralisation rates, vegetation changes towards a composition with species growing in nutrient poor conditions. ⺠Insight in contributions of functional groups on total C and N mineralisation during secondary succession.
