Abstract
⺠Digital image capture/analysis is reviving the art and science of measuring growth. ⺠Object boundaries and midlines are the key morphological features to track. ⺠Most growth studies have been based on time series of 2D images but 3D is possible. ⺠Tracking image patches within an object generates a kinematic description of growth. ⺠Automation of acquisition and analysis creates the throughput needed for phenotyping.
