Abstract
⺠Rice qualitative resistance to Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae is distinctive. ⺠This interaction appears to be mediated largely by uncommon major resistance genes. ⺠Mutation of susceptibility genes is an important aspect of this type of resistance. ⺠One or more of the PRR-type genes are also involved in the qualitative resistance. ⺠Transcriptional activating/suppressing MR genes is used in resistance regulation.
