Abstract

âº Glucose induces phosphorylation of AMPKÎ±1 at Ser485 and Ser497. âº Phosphorylation of AMPKÎ±1 at Thr172 and Ser485/497 follows an inverse correlation. âº Phosphorylation of AMPKÎ±1 by PKA does not impair phosphorylation of Thr172. âº Phosphorylation of AMPKÎ±1 at Thr172 does not affect phosphorylation by PKA. âº Phosphorylation of Thr172 and Ser485/497 follows an independent regulation.
