Abstract
► CCN2 bound to the receptor of fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGFR2) and facilitated the binding of FGFR2 to its ligands, FGF2 and FGF4. ► By binding to FGFR2, CCN2 augmented the phosphorylation of ERK induced by FGF signaling. ► Osteoblastic differentiation was enhanced under the collaboration of CCN2 and FGF2.
