Abstract
⺠The phosphoprotein CRMP-2 is a novel modulator of voltage-gated calcium channels. ⺠Role of CRMP-2 phosphorylation on calcium channel activity is not known. ⺠Cdk5 phosphorylation of CRMP-2 regulates its modulation of calcium channels. ⺠RhoK phosphorylation of CRMP-2 does not regulate its modulation of calcium channels. ⺠Phosphorylation of CRMP-2 by Cdk5 enhances its interaction with calcium channels.
