Abstract
⺠We show that the PAR1 possesses a functional and cleaved signal peptide at its N terminus. ⺠We show that the sequence encoding the signal peptide of the PAR1 facilitates expression of the receptor mRNA. ⺠The latter function was never described before for a GPCR.
