Abstract
⺠Amadori-PE, a lipid glycation product, elicits cellular telomerase activity in a time- and dose-dependent manner. ⺠Amadori-PE modulates telomerase by up-regulating hTERT mRNA expression through induction of c-myc expression. ⺠Amadori-PE may participate not only in the pathogenesis of diabetic complications but also in tumor progression.
