Abstract
⺠Ras-GTP adopts two conformations, “inactive” state 1 and “active” state 2. ⺠State 1 crystal structures of H-Ras wild type together with its oncogenic mutants were determined for the first time. ⺠State 1 crystal structures show two surface pockets, a potential target for selective inhibitor development. ⺠State 1 crystal structures provide a structure basis for low GTPase activity of state 1.
