Abstract
► Rev1 is involved in bypass replication of damaged DNA-translesion synthesis (TLS). ► Rev1 provides a binding platform for other major TLS DNA polymerases. ► Rev1 interacts with TLS polymerases via its C-terminal domain (Rev1-CT). ► NMR reveals independent binding sites of Rev1-CT for Polη and Rev7 subunit of Polζ. ► Rev1-CT is a scaffold that can accommodate multiple TLS polymerases at the same time.
