Abstract
► DOR is a dynamic protein undergoing nucleo-cytoplasmic shuttling under basal state. ► DOR transiently localizes at the nucleolus prior to its nuclear exit. ► Nucleolus integrity does not affect DOR trafficking and function on basal autophagy. ► NES signal is essential for DOR nucleolar exit. ► DOR is a scaffold protein that regulates both basal and stress-induced autophagy.
