Abstract
⺠α-Secretase activity can be modulated by two nucleotide receptors in N2a cells. ⺠Activation of a P2X7 receptor reduces α-secretase-dependent APP cleavage. ⺠α-Secretase proteolytic activity is enhanced by activation of a P2Y2 receptor. ⺠P2X7R and P2Y2R could be novel therapeutic targets in Alzheimer's disease.
