Abstract
⺠Transthyretin aggregates are toxic to neuronal cells. ⺠EGCG and curcumin inhibit transthyretin aggregation and originate different small non-toxic off-pathway oligomers. ⺠EGCG and curcumin efficiently disaggregated pre-formed TTR amyloid fibrils. ⺠EGCG and curcumin might be used as lead compounds to new therapeutic approaches on transthyretin amyloidoses.
