Abstract

âº Epoxide hydrolase shows similarity to haloacid dehalogenases and haloacetate dehalogenase. âº Nine residues are involved in enzyme catalysis. âº The enzyme reaction proceeds through a two-step mechanism characterized by a nucleophile-histidine-acid catalytic triad.
