Abstract
⺠We cut actin stress fibers located over the nucleus using laser nanoscissors. ⺠We investigated the dynamic behavior of stress fibers, nucleus, and intranuclear DNA. ⺠The nucleus moved after stress fiber dissection and showed marked local deformation. ⺠The distribution of intranuclear DNA near the dissected stress fibers changed. ⺠Stress fibers stabilize the position of DNA through connection with the nucleus.
