Abstract
⺠We studied myxomycete biogeography vs. known theories on distribution of organisms. ⺠Our results suggest that proximity is related to species assemblage similarity. ⺠Niche-based theories explained distribution better than neutral or null models. ⺠It seems that myxomycete species are not ecologically equivalent.
