Abstract
⺠Review gut-retention times in ground-dwelling mycophagous (fungus-feeding) mammals. ⺠Compare fluid and particle retention time across species and groups of species. ⺠Mean retention time of truffle spores in swamp wallaby, mycophagous macropodoid. ⺠Studied swamp wallabies carry spores for similar times to smaller mycophagists. ⺠Potential for long distance dispersal of fungal spores by swamp wallabies.
