Abstract
⺠We use a factorial design to study osteogenic differentiation of periosteal cells. ⺠This allows the contribution of specific factors to an outcome to be assessed. ⺠We utilize stimuli which have been implicated in osteogenic differentiation. ⺠We find that the differentiation of periosteal cells requires specific stimuli. ⺠Dexamethasone functions by augmenting periosteal cell osteogenic differentiation.
