Abstract
► BDNF increases KCNQ4 transcript level by 9-fold in stem cell-derived neurons. ► BDNF effects on KCNQ2, 3, and 5 were minor. ► NT-3 effects on KCNQ expression were minor. ► BDNF upregulation of KCNQ4 was confirmed and the protein level. ► BDNF affected passive electrical properties including reduced resting potential.
