Abstract
⺠Aging increases cell senescence factors like p16ink4a and CHEK1 and affect self-renewal of ASCs. ⺠These are followed by higher expression of DNA repair genes, suggestive of DNA break probabilities. ⺠Subnormal expression of microRNAs involved in cell cycle regulation was observed. ⺠Importantly, differentiation potential of ASCs declined with aging.
