Abstract
⺠Evaluate and standardize the cryopreservation of human blood for long term storage. ⺠Possibility of pooling of blood from multiple donors before cryopreservation. ⺠Assess the IL-1β release from cryopreserved blood in response to pyrogenic stimuli. ⺠Cryopreserved pooled blood is an experimentally viable alternative to fresh blood. ⺠Storage and supply of non-allergic, pathogen free blood for detection of IL-1β.
